Meet Holly Steeg

Hello,

My name is Holly Steeg and I am a Tarleton State Graduate of 2024. I graduated obtaining my EC-6 ESL degree. I found my passion for teaching in high school when I started working with elementary-level children at my church camp. I was a girl's youth counselor for four summers and I enjoyed every minute of being able to guide the young girls. After my first year of counseling the group of 15 girls I had, I knew I wanted to teach elementary students for my future profession. I want to better today's youth and what better place to do that than in the classroom where I can truly take time to reach the students? My goal is to educate today's youth and to reach every student on different personal levels because every student is different and unique. I want to work harder and smarter to give all my students a positive environment that encourages all students to learn and enjoy the learning process. For the past three years, I have been a substitute with Arlington ISD, I absolutely love getting exposure to children, and I learn something new every day about becoming a teacher.
